Terms of Service

The service

ClearBin Waste Services provides a residential black bin-bag collection service in South Gloucestershire and Bristol. The service consists of 3 collections per calendar month, collecting up to 2 black bin bags per visit. Your council continues to cover your remaining monthly collection date.

Collections are scheduled around your stated council collection day and your preferred ClearBin collection weekday. While we aim to collect consistently, operational factors (weather, access, vehicle availability) may occasionally require a rescheduled collection. We will notify you where possible.

Pricing and payment

• Monthly subscription fee: £60 per month
• One-time setup fee: £20, charged with your first month (total due today: £80)
• Payments are collected by Direct Debit, set up through GoCardless. By subscribing you authorise ClearBin Waste Services to collect payments via Direct Debit under the Direct Debit Guarantee.
• We will give you at least 3 working days' notice of any change to your payment amount or date.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at clearbinwaste@gmail.com or through your account. Cancellation stops all future collections and Direct Debit payments. No refunds are issued for the current billing month. There is no minimum term or early-cancellation fee.

Service area

This service is only available at addresses within our operational area, currently covering South Gloucestershire and parts of Bristol. We verify your postcode at sign-up. If we are unable to serve your address we will notify you before taking payment.

Your responsibilities

• Ensure bin bags are placed at the agreed collection point by the agreed time on your collection day.
• Only present black bin bags (not recycling, garden waste, or hazardous materials).
• Keep your contact details and address up to date via your account.
• Notify us promptly of any access issues (locked gates, building works, etc.).

Liability

ClearBin Waste Services will exercise reasonable care in carrying out collections. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) adverse weather, road closures, or vehicle breakdown.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the total fees paid by you to us during that period. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
